The Study

Six twenty something men and women sign up for a medical study that takes place in a secluded cabin and lasts a whole weekend. All there for the inevitable payout, EMILY, is the one participant who is more skeptical than the rest and it shows. After awhile the participants relax and start to party. After some drinks and being more comfortable with each other, EMILY and BRANDON start doing trick shots by throwing a racket ball around the living room. BRANDON throws the ball and it goes through a painting that is set directly on a brick fireplace.

To the confusion of EMILY and BRANDON, the ball disappears, it doesn’t bounce back at them, it doesn’t make a noise, just simply disappears. People start to get nervous as they can’t find the ball. They look under the sink for a flashlight, when they find the racket ball lying near the garbage disposal, which is across the entire house. Freaking out, one of the other participants puts silverware into the sink. Moments later, there is a loud crashing noise coming from a room that is padlocked shut next to the kitchen.

Breaking the padlock, they open the door, but cannot see anything past a few feet because there are no lights. All that is visible is a fork that is wedged stuck in the back of the door, seemingly shot out of cannon. The participants believe they are tripping from the medication they took in combination with the alcohol, but EMILY confesses she hasn’t taken her dose yet…
