America’s Nicest Item

Three judges, JON, a young male, on the go, and want to be entrepreneur, a mom, COLEEN, and REECE, a pretentious, hard-nosed Englishman (A Simon Cowell-like), lean on their unique backgrounds to ultimately determine which item is America’s Nicest Item, and which items belong in the trash.

America’s Nicest Item is a bracket format, show-and-tell style, and competition parody show that seeks to determine which everyday, almost painfully boring item is considered America’s nicest by shape, functionality, design, sound, feel, and many other oddly funny qualifying factors. Every episode follows two contestants as they each present their items to the three judges. The judges are presented with each contestant’s item individually. After the judges give their initial opinions on each item (heard by the items’ owner), the judges move to a secluded room, where they speak amongst the three of them to determine which of the contestants has the nicer item. The contestant with the nicest item moves on to the next round, while the loser has their item thrown in the trash – if it fits… This is not just another reality TV parody, as the judges evolve and so does the comedy.
